Class Teachers

The Executive Headteacher and Governors of the Exe Valley Federation wish to appoint excellent classroom teachers for September 2022 across our six schools. The Federation comprises six village primary schools within a 8-mile area in Mid Devon and shares a common vision for excellence and a drive to continuously improve outcomes for all our children, both emotionally and academically. Three of the schools are Church Schools with a strong Christian ethos and all staff are expected to uphold this ethos. The successful applicants may be asked to work at any of the Federation schools in the future. 

In September, we will have vacancies for the following roles: 

Reception Class Teacher with experience and expertise in the Early Years Curriculum and pre-school education. Applicants should have an excellent understanding of the systematic teaching of phonics and its effective delivery. There are both full time and part time options for this post in one of our schools. 

Keystage 1 Teacher with experience and expertise of teaching the Year 1 and Year 2 Curriculum in mixed age classes. Applicants should have an excellent understanding of the systematic teaching of phonics and ensuring that children make the progress necessary to be confident readers by the end of Keystage 1. 

Upper Keystage 2 Teacher with experience and expertise in teaching Years 5 and 6. This should include a good understanding of the Upper Keystage 2 curriculum expectations and experience of preparing children for the next stage of their education. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in achieving strong outcomes for children, both emotionally and academically. There are both full time and part time options for this post in one of our schools.
