Enjoying Learning Together

Sandford school is a friendly school where children, parents, staff and governors work together to ensure our pupils succeed and reach their true potential. We aim to foster a lifelong love of learning through exciting and rewarding learning opportunities. We are a kind and nurturing school which puts wellbeing at the centre of all we do.

Sandford School sits 2 miles to the north of Crediton and is surrounded by the rolling hills of Mid Devon. Our unique grade 2 listed building, along with more modern buildings, is set within extensive grounds and has stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

The school provides education for children 4 – 11 and also now offers pre school education. The school has four classes and is attended by children both in and out of catchment. As part of the Exe Valley Federation, we work closely with our other local village schools to secure the best possible outcomes for our pupils.

Sandford school provides an engaging curriculum for all learners that reflects the unique character and rural location of the school. Our inspirational and knowledgeable staff provide meaningful educational experiences in a safe environment that enables all children to flourish. Experiential learning plays a key role our learning processes; children are encouraged to learn through exploration and appropriate challenge.

Outdoor learning is timetabled weekly and provides the perfect opportunity for children to develop their skills outside of the classroom. The school offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities in addition to the before and after school care provided on site. Sunflowers is open every morning from 7:45am and Monday to Thursday afternoons until 5:30pm.

We would be delighted to show you around our wonderful school. If you would like to arrange a visit, please contact the school office to arrange a visit.
