PTFA

Thorverton Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) is open to all parents, teachers and friends of the school.  There is no need to be a current parent, just someone with an interest in the school and a commitment to helping to raise funds to supplement the learning experience offered to the children at Thorverton C of E Primary School. 

Money raised by the PTFA has funded, amongst other things, a set of 32 chromebook computers, annual funding for coaches for school trips, gifts from Father Christmas presented at the Christmas lunch each year and a new outdoor classroom to help us make the most of our school grounds. 

We hold a number of fundraising events each year, examples include film nights, Auction of Promises, Christmas fairs, pamper evenings and wine-tasting evenings.  We also provide refreshments at school functions and events throughout the school year. To join the PTFA, ask questions or offer any help (from baking a cake to making a suggestion as to future fundraising activities), please contact the school office.

Car Wash - Saturday 2nd March 

Children, parents, and friends of the school provided a fantastic car washing service for the local community. Everyone worked incredibly hard and customers were delighted with the quality of service that they received!

Thorverton Tough Mudder - Thursday 30th November

We hosted our first ever Tough Mudder event on the school field - it was certainly very muddy indeed! Children were sponsored to complete as many laps as possible of an obstacle course set up on the school field. A huge thank you to eveyone involved in the organising and running of this event and to everyone who sponsored the children!
