Classes

Class 1 - Meadowsfoot

Meadowsfoot is a Foundation class that is taught by Miss Gilberthorpe. The class is supported throughout the week by Mrs Readey, Mrs Warner and Mrs Wearne.

We have a lovely classroom and outside area where we can do all of our learning. We love to read, play, explore and have an adventure. Please take a look at our school newsletter to see what we have been learning each week.

We follow the curriculum guidance for the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Work is planned across seven areas of learning:

 • Personal, social and emotional development
 • Communication and language
 • Physical development
 • Literacy
 • Mathematics
 • Understanding the world
 • Expressive arts and design
We work on topics and themes, which provides learning opportunities through lots of interesting activities and investigations.

Class 2 - Mothecombe

Mothecombe is a mixed year 1 and 2 class that is taught by Mrs Pasmore. The class is supported throughout the week by Mrs Derrick and Mr May-Price.

As the children progress into Class 2 we encourage independence and would encourage the children to organise their belongings each day. We read daily and for this reason books should always be in school. Please record any home reading in your reading log.

You can find out all about what we are learning about under the curriculum tab.

Class 3 - Riverside

Riverside is a mixed year 3 and 4 class that is taught by Miss Docking. The class is supported throughout the week by Mrs Gillard, Miss Stone and Mrs Wotton.

As the children progress into Class 3 we encourage the children to learn their times tables both in school and at home to increase their recall speed. We read daily and for this reason books should always be in school. Please record any home reading in your reading log.
