Class Teacher
The Executive Principal and Governors of the Exe Valley Federation wish to appoint excellent classroom teachers for September 2025 across some of our schools (temporary in the first instance). The Exe Valley Federation comprises seven village primary schools and shares a common vision for excellence and a drive to continuously improve outcomes for all our children, both emotionally and academically. Three of the schools are Church Schools with a strong Christian ethos and all staff are expected to uphold this ethos. There are part and full-time vacancies, which could be at Brampford Speke Primary School, Cheriton Fitzpaine Primary School or Sandford School, depending on skills, experience and preference of applicants. The successful applicants may be asked to work at any of the Federation schools in the future.
Vacancies include:
Early Years and Key Stage 1 Class Teacher with experience and expertise in the Early Years and/or KS1 Curriculum. In addition, applicants should have an excellent understanding of the systematic teaching of phonics and its effective delivery.
Key Stage 2 Teacher with experience and expertise in teaching across KS2. This should include a good understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum expectations and experience of preparing children for the next stage of their education. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in achieving strong outcomes for children, both emotionally and academically.
In all roles, experience of teaching in mixed-age classes would be beneficial. ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply.
Prospective candidates are welcome to come and meet members of the leadership team on Thursday 26th June, at Sandford School. Please telephone Toyah Jones on 01363 866456 or email cheritonadmin@exevalleyfederation.co.uk to arrange a time or for queries regarding these vacancies.
On-line applications are welcome and should be emailed to Mrs Toyah Jones at Cheriton Fitzpaine School [cheritonadmin@exevalleyfederation.org.uk].
The closing date for applications is Monday 30th June at 12.00pm. Interviews will take place on Thursday 3rd July.
The Exe Valley Federation is committed to keeping all our children safe. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate their knowledge of safeguarding and hold an Enhanced DBS check. Social media checks will be conducted prior to interview and discussed with shortlisted candidates.
